When I'm gone

When I'm gone
plant the garden
plant the corn
and the green beans

Sit on the porch
in the breeze
swing the spring
into summer

When I'm gone
listen to the birdsong
and sing along
into early evening

Visit the spring
that does rush
to bubble
and gurgle for some

That come
to listen
to wisdom
without words

When I'm gone
you will remember
that I once
loved all these things
and you.
