Anyone's guess

Into the grass

was a deeply

worn path

Barren ground

began from the gate

into the pasture

But then,

small blades

of grass

trespassed

And slowly

over distance,

several heights

of a man

The path blended

into pasture grass

and which way

a man might have gone

was anyone's guess.
